The first leg of the IBO National Championship Triple Crown at Pipestem, WV has been moved to June 11 – 14.  The second leg at Fairfax State Recreation Area in Bloomington, IN that was originally scheduled for this date has been cancelled.  Park closures, their presumptive opening dates, and Indiana’s virus infection rates all contributed to our decision to cancel this event.

Pipestem will be our first leg, Franklin, PA will now be our second leg and the first two qualifying days at the World Championship will be the third score we will use to determine our National Champions.  National Championship awards will be held on Friday at the World Championship prior to the Dead Center Eagle Eye Shoot-Off.

Lodging at Pipestem

Pipestem Resort State Park Lodge will be calling those who have reservations for the May tournament and moving them to the June date.  If you have questions or need to make reservations, the park lodge will only be accepting reservations from IBO participants at this time so make sure you let them know you are attending the IBO event when you call.

World Qualifying

Due to some IBO World Qualifiers being canceled and the difficulty shooters may experience in attending a qualifying event, we are implementing the following changes to our qualifying rules:

·        Everyone who attends a local qualifier will receive an invitation to the World Championship.

·        We are raising the number of shooters who qualify to include the top 40 in each class for the Indoor World, Winter National and two legs of the National Championship Triple Crown.

·        If you are unable to find a qualifier in your area, you can call the office and we will assist you in getting qualified.

Shooters of the Year

Shooters of the Year will be based on the combined scores from the Winter National, first and second legs of the National Championship Triple Crown and World Championship.

IBO Field

There will be IBO Field competitions at the National Championship Triple Crown shoots in Pipestem, WV and Franklin, PA.  Due to the inability to have an IBO Field competition at the World Championship in Seven Springs, PA, there will be no National Champions awarded this year in IBO Field competition.  We will however, be awarding a first, second and third place plaque in each class regardless of the number of competitors.

Lucky Seven

Lucky Seven drawings will include members who have registered for all five IBO events.
